On Being a Trainee

Web Profit Trainee – it indicates beginners only. This site is not just for beginners in the overall sense although it says web profit trainee. Don’t be fooled. Anyone can be a trainee. In my case I’ve been on the Web the past dozen years or more, with three of the last five years actually trying to make some extra money from the Internet.

I am no beginner in the overall sense when it comes to the Internet, even having written applications at my job that extract data from the Web. However, in the aspect of actually making money online I was a beginner a few years ago. In effect a trainee, when it comes to how to make money from the Internet.

So for all practical purposes, I am considering anyone desiring to make money from the Web a candidate for Web Profit Trainee. That is unless you are one of a small percentage of people making decent money from the ‘net.

Being in Internet marketing, I can tell you there are large numbers of ordinary people longing to earn profits from the Internet. Maybe you are one of them. If so, maybe I can help.

I can tell you this. It is better to get some training and solid knowledge of the various facets of Internet marketing if you truly expect to make money online. It’s no put-down to be a trainee and it is usually better to start at an easy level and then progress to higher more potentially profitable levels.

Take myself, in another field. I had four years experience as a computer operator, quit to finish college, and then couldn’t find a programmer job that I was seeking. After 18 months of mostly looking for that elusive job I decided to re-enter the electronics field which I had been in before the computer operator job. Almost a year into that job as a senior electronics technician, I was “offered” a programmer trainee job with a large insurance corporation.

I already knew programming, but what did I do? I jumped at the opportunity, even though it was a trainee position. I never looked back, and have been a programmer/analyst and software developer for over three decades. It’s been an exciting and profitable career.

Now, however, I started a new “career” of extracting profits from the Web. You can too. It doesn’t have to be a career or full-time endeavor. Just remember a trainee can be anyone if you are not already knowledgeable in something and the techniques of accomplishing it.
